Disappointed in its packaging. Looks like the same stuff I can buy at my local market. Tastes pretty similar, too. I expected something that was recently cut off a wheel.

A:Properly stored is can keep for up to 12 months or a bit longer. Best way to store is by cutting the wheel into portions no larger than 1/2 pound each, and wrap tightly in heavy-duty aluminum foil or plastic freezer wrap, or place inside a heavy-duty freezer bag.

Q:say yes you can have the rind, whole

A:Yes, the rind on the Parmigiano Reggiano is edible.

Q:Can I get wedges of cheese with the rind attached

A:The rind is not removed from the cut portions.

Q:How long is it aged and who makes this parmesan, what brand and finally is it pre-packaged or do u cut and vacuum seal it

A:The Parmigiano Reggiano is aged for 24 months. It is made in Italy by Emilia. The cut portion is cut in our warehouse, the other sizes are pre-cut and pre-packaged. The cheese is vacuum sealed.
