Flaky little phyllo pastry rolls are the perfect accompaniment for cheese plates and dips, and even to serve with main dishes. Use ready-made pastry so you don't have to labor in the kitchen, and just roll into poppy seeds for flavor and crunch.

Poppyseed Phyllo Rolls Recipe

Ingredients

Directions
  1. Heat the oven to 350 °F.
  2. Cut the phyllo dough into circles about 4-6 inches in diameter.
  3. Cut each phyllo disc in half and brush with melted butter. Season with salt and pepper, and sprinkled with grated cheese.
  4. Roll and arrange in a baking sheet. Brush with beaten egg and sprinkle poppy seeds.
  5. Bake 15 to 25 minutes until crispy and golden.
