Raclette, Pre-Sliced

Our delightful French Raclette is portioned and conveniently pre-sliced so you can quickly and easily make your favorite cheesy creations! Its thin brownish rind reveals a pale yellow paste within. A beautiful melter, create the classic Swiss dish of the same name or melt it onto sandwiches, meats, vegetables, and more!

What is Raclette Cheese?

Raclette is a favorite cheese among all who try it. Made on both sides of the Swiss and French Alps. This semi-hard cheese not only offers delicious flavor but a unique dining experience! Its name: Raclette, is derived from the French word ‘racler,’ meaning ‘to scrape.’

Commonly used to create the Swiss dish of the same name, Raclette, is traditionally melted before it is carefully scraped over the dish. Most commonly paired with a combination of potatoes, cornichons, pickled onions, and various cured meats. This hearty meal is the perfect choice to warm you up after a day spent on the slopes.

Swiss vs. French

While Switzerland supplies 80% of the Raclette on the market, France produces the remainder. Similar cheeses there are a few differences that separate one from the other. The main contrast is the texture of the two kinds of cheese. French Raclette is softer than Swiss; it’s generally slightly smoother with a pronounced creaminess.
