Rose Water, Lime and Strawberry Wine Sangria Recipe

A lovely cocktail that's fresh and feminine and perfect to drink on warm spring afternoons! Tart and citrusy lime syrup blends with sweet rose wine, sparkling prosseco and a dash of fragrant rose water, for a pretty twist on a sangria that looks fabulous served at bridal showers and other seasonal events.

Rose Water, Lime and Strawberry Wine Sangria Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup lime juice
  • 4 cups strawberries
  • 5 limes, sliced thinly
  • 1 bottle rose
  • 1 bottle Champagne or Prosecco
  • ½ cup brandy
  • 1 tbsp. rose water
  • Ice

Directions
  1. Bring the sugar and lime juice to a boil in a small saucepan, lower the heat to medium and simmer for 6-8 minutes until it thickens and reduces into semi-thick syrup. Remove from fire and reserve.
  2. Add the strawberries to a large glass jar, pour the lime syrup, rose water and mix with a wooden spoon. Reserve for 15 minutes to rest.
  3. Add the lime slices, wine, champagne, brandy, rose wine, champagne, and fill the rest of the jar with ice. Stir gently with a wooden spoon until well combined.
