A: The Canadian Salmon Roe is fresh, cured with salt. It does not contain any other additives.
Q: Can I freeze the roe when I receive it so that I can buy more now and just store it at my house and remove only what I need every few days?
A: We do not recommend freezing Salmon Roe, as the freezing process can damage the eggs and ruin the texture of the caviar.
Q: Is the product frozen?
A: This caviar does not ship frozen. It ships chilled (fresh).
Q: What is the shelf life for unopened caviar?
A: The shelf life is around 2 weeks unopened, kept refrigerated (29-32F). Once opened it should be used within 2 days.
Q: Is your salmon roe caviar wild caught? What is the ingredient list? Looking to see if has any added preservatives.
Thanks!
A: This salmon roe caviar comes from wild caught salmon. The caviar is preserved through the Malossol technique so it cured with salt, thus it contains only the roe itself and the small amount of salt added for curing.
