About Our Brie

How to Serve Brie

When planning to serve Brie, take it out of the refrigerator approximately an hour before you plan to enjoy it. This will allow the cheese to come to room temperature, enhancing both its flavors and maximizing its creamy characteristics.

Present your wheel or wedge of cheese alongside a knife and your chosen accompaniments. We love serving Brie alongside artisan crackers, crusty pieces of bread, fruit preserves, and honey. To help your guests feel comfortable serving themselves, be sure to cut a couple of portions first; this will relieve any anxiety your guests may feel about making the first cut. If presenting a wedge, be sure to cut alongside the length of the cheese rather than cutting off the tip. The center of the cheese is the most flavorful portion; by slicing along the side, everyone gets to taste the whole spectrum of flavor in your brie cheese.

Can You Eat Brie Rind?

The short answer is yes! In fact, some consider it gauche not to. With its creamy, luxurious insides and sliceable bloomy rind this French cheese practically begs to be eaten. While some cheeses have rinds you’d rather leave behind, Brie is not one of them. Slightly firmer in texture, the rind provides all the flavors of this delicious cheese at their most intense. The perfect compliment to the mild scoopable paste, be sure to get both in your bite.
