Murcia Al Vino - Wine Soaked Goat Cheese

Murcia al Vino is made from the best goat milk in all of Spain. Murcia al Vino is made from the milk of Murciano-Granadina goats. These are well acclimatized to the heat and aridness, grazing on the rich grass and wild herbs, resulting in a very flavorful cheese. Murcia is made using wine to give it its extraordinary color. The texture is firm, but extremely buttery, making it an excellent ‘snacking' cheese. Serve, appropriately, with a nice full bodied red wine.
Ingredients: Pasteurized goat's milk, rennet, salt, cheese cultures. Rind treated with red wine.

Man, this is a delicious and flavorful cheese, the flavor of the wine is there but strong enough to distract from the cheese's flavor.

On first bite I was a little underwhelmed but then it just got better and better with every mouthful. Texture is firm yet smooth and creamy. Would definitely try again.
