Q: How come some truffle butters are perishable and some aren't ? Can you freeze the truffle butter that comes in the plastics tub?
A: This particular truffle butter is made with whipped butter, which does not need to be kept refrigerated. As a consequence, this truffle butter can be kept at room temperature or, if you live in a warm, humid climate, keep it in a cool place, away from direct sunlight. The other truffle butters that are made with regular butter can be frozen to extend the shelf life, just as you would freeze simple butter.
