Peanut Butter Truffle Cake Balls Recipe

We love these yummy little peanut butter truffle cake balls, easy to make, using simple but fresh ingredients like premium baking chocolate, and they're sure to be a hit with adults and kids!

Peanut Butter Truffle Cake Balls Recipe Instructions

  • 2 ½ cups confectioners' or powdered sugar
  • 1 ½ cup smooth peanut butter
  • 5 tbsp. unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
  • ¼ tsp. salt
  • 1 lb. bittersweet baking chocolate chips, melted in a bowl and at room temperature
  • 3 oz. milk chocolate, melted

  1. In a bowl using an electric mixer, beat sugar, peanut butter, melted butter, vanilla extract and salt - make sure it's well mixed and even.
  2. Refrigerate for 2 hours.
  3. Scoop about 1 tsp. of mix and form it into the truffle shape - round or spiked, then place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Freeze or continue to the next step immediately.
  4. Coat each truffle with melted chocolate, using a fork or spoon, tapping to remove excess, then place on a freshly lined baking tray.
  5. Allow the chocolate to harden, then decorate with milk chocolate in swirls, using a piping bag.
