Bakery lovers will love the warm, flaky deliciousness of these three gourmet pastries. All of them comprise an outer layer of pastry made from unbleached wheat flour, with a fruit or nut-based surprise waiting inside. Premade and frozen, these gourmet pastries are easy to store and prepare, so you can enjoy them as a stress-free breakfast or indulgent dessert.

The almond bear claw is so called for its distinctly fanned, finger-like shape, and is packed with a sweet filling made of roasted almonds. You’ll be taking one grizzly-sized bite after another.

Meanwhile, the lemon pillow is a bountiful bundle of crisp pastry filled with cream cheese that’s as rich and thick as it is sweet. Lemon zest adds a touch of citrus to make this pastry a unique delight.

Last but not least, the blueberry pocket has a magical secret hidden within its layers of golden crust: wild blueberries! These superfruits have a much more intense flavor than cultivated blueberries, and are rich in antioxidants. That means extra taste and extra nutrition in your specialty desserts!

These frozen pastries are simple to prepare. First, preheat your oven to 400 degrees F. Take whichever gourmet pastries you’d like to cook out of the freezer and put them on a baking tray lined with parchment paper (no need to defrost them!). Paint the tops with an egg-wash made from one egg and a tablespoon of water, and then pop them in the oven for 15-20 minutes, until they acquire a golden-brown color on top.

The almond bear claw could have more filling. It is hardly noticeable. The blueberry pocket was good.

A: The recommended baking instructions for these pastries are as follows.  Preheat your oven to 400 degrees F.  Keep the product frozen and do not thaw prior to baking.  Remove the items you'd like to bake from the freezer and place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.  Create an egg wash with one egg and a tablespoon of water, and then paint the tops of the pastries.  Then bake in the oven for 15-20 minutes.  The exact time will depend on your oven, but when you see them all golden brown on the top, they are complete.
