La Perruche Brown Sugar Cubes
Grown in the tropical paradise of Reunion Island (formerly known as Ile de Bourbon), this sugar is soaked in all the rich flavors of the tropical soil where it is grown. The rough cut caramel-colored lumps are pretty without being precious, and are made out of true cane sugar. Perfect to serve at tea time.

A: La Perruche is quite secretive about the processing methods. On their website they state that they use "a process exclusive to La Perruche" following a "delicious secret recipe...invented in 1828." The brown sugar cubes offer a warm golden hue and a more caramel-hinted flavor than regular white sugar cubes.
