About Torrons Vicens

With a long and storied history, Torrons Vicens is one of the oldest Nougat producers in Spain. Generation upon generation, this sweet tradition can be traced back to 1775 and potentially even before. Using the same recipes of their forebears, their product is a delicious example of the most authentic Nougat in Europe. Traditional techniques and quality ingredients are combined in the practiced hands of Spain’s foremost nougat artisans to create the sweets from Torrons Vicens.

Beginning in Agramunt in the Catalan district of Urgell, this small city is known as the origin spot of Torro (Nougat) and Xocolata a la Pedra (Stone Chocolate). A tradition that has since been carried on for over two hundred years by the Vicens family.

In the year 2000, the next Vincens successor, Angel Velasco, and his son took over the management of Torrons Vicens. Working tirelessly to build the business they began to recreate new and inventive versions of this classic dessert. Still using the very best ingredients and the same artisanal techniques, they added panache, artistry, and an inventiveness that quickly brought the business from a single shop to more than 40!
