A: Carnaroli Rice can be cooked like any other rice. Its advantage is that aging renders starch, proteins and vitamins less water-soluble, improving the consistency of the grains and enabling them to absorb more cooking liquid. When cooked the grains become bigger, firmer, do not stick together and taste even better.
As a suggestion: put a good quantity of cold water into a medium-size saucepan. Bring the water to boil, then add 1/2tsp.salt and 1 cup of rice. Reduce the heat to medium and cook for 12 to 13 minutes. Drain the rice. Add condiments of choice, if desired.
