This sweet French chestnut spread, rarely available, is not to be missed. The Ardeche region is the leading producer of Chestnuts in France and home to the famed Maison Sabaton at Labégude, acclaimed for their production of Marrons. Since December is the prime time for the Marron harvest, it is no surprise they have become a holiday delicacy, both in America and Europe.
Ingredients: Pureed Chestnuts, Sugar, Candied Chestnuts, Glucose Syrop, Vanilla Extract.

A: The Creme de Marrons is a shelf stable product. Once opened, the container needs to be kept refrigerated and ideally used within a week. The Chestnut Spread can be frozen as well, but it needs to be transferred to freezer safe containers.
