Q: I understand that people with allergies to cashews and pistachios are also allergic to pink peppercorn. Are the pp added to regular pepper as well?
A: The Pink Peppercorns can be added to regular pepper as well, especially for the pepper mixes. Cross contamination can also occur, so we do not recommend these for people with allergies to tree nuts.
Q: If the pink peppercorns are soft, how do you grind them?
A: Since the pink peppercorns are softer than other types of peppercorns it is recommended to use a spice mill, mortar and pestle or a knife to grind or crush them. They can also be mixed with other types of peppers in order to be used in a regular spice grinder.
