These versatile little Russian buckwheat pancakes can be the life-savers of the party. Light, soft and spongy, these are typically topped with caviar and crème fraiche, but they can be used as a vehicle for almost anything, like smoked salmon or a pat of foie gras.

Maybe a little bland, but a good alternative for making your own. I was mistakenly expecting buckwheat, which I prefer and is what I make, so that is probably why I found them bland.
