Known in Germany and Austria as a hiker's sausage for its practical format and no need for refrigeration, this smoky and rich beef Landjaeger sausage in a pork casing is a classic snack. Seasoned with pepper and spices, just stick this hearty sausage whenever you go out camping, hiking, sailing or any outdoor activity of uncertain duration. Made by the charcuterie experts at Stiglmeier, a family run company of Bavarian émigrés who brought their meat curing secrets to Chicago back in the 1960s.
