Sakura Duroc Pork 8-Bone Rack

After their success with the prized Berkshire breed, Heritage Berkshire expanded their product line in 2015 with Sakura Pork. Named after a Japanese cherry blossom, this acclaimed breed has a deep, red color and exceptional degree of marbling, resulting in unparalleled flavor and texture.

Descending from Duroc hogs - a breed brought to the USA from Europe in the 19th century and cross-bred with New York Jersey hogs - Sakura pigs are raised on Midwest family-run farms and fed an all-vegetarian diet of locally grown corn and soybeans. They are never given growth hormones, steroids or antiobiotics, and are raised in environmentally-friendly facilities that are designed to reduce the animal's stress, resulting in better-tasting meat.

There are few better ways to try this superior quality pork than with our hefty 8 bone rack. At around 7-8 pounds per rack, it's dense with juicy, rosy pork, and can be roasted whole for a sumptuous presentation piece, or cut into chops and grilled or pan-seared. You could even slow-cook it in stews and braises. Either way, the delicious, fall-of-the-bone meat will have you and your guests coming back for more.

Heritage Berkshire is America's prime producer of Berkshire pork and other high end pork products. They source their humanely raised meat from local family farms, where pigs are never given chemical hormones or byproducts, and all products are inspected and crafted to high quality standards.
