The tayberry is a cross between red raspberry and blackberry, with a sweeter flavor and larger size than its parents. Because the fruit is so fragile, it's difficult to harvest commercially and so can usually only be found in farmer's markets and specialist shops. French fruit company La Fruitiere farms their own tayberries in the rugged landscapes of Brittany, crushing the fruits into a smooth puree that has a variety of uses in the kitchen:
Tayberry Puree is created by La Fruitiere. Based in France, this company dedicates itself on finding the ripest fruits from the richest crops, in the process creating some of the best fruit purees on the market. Available in over 50 vibrant flavors, these purees are beloved by chefs in France and the USA, allowing them to enhance traditional dishes while developing new, innovative recipes.
