Candied Orange Slices

One of the simplest ingredients you might ever try, and perhaps one of the most intensely flavored, these Candied Orange Peel are a must-have in our pantries (yes, these don’t even require refrigeration!).

These make a great sweet snack, marrying bright citrus sugary sweetness. Each bite is a burst of tangy flavor tempered by the caramelized sugar. The bitterness of the orange peel is blanched away, and then slowly candied in sugar syrup. This results in a sweet and chewy treat, with a great flavor and lustrous shine.

One of the great advantages of this product designed for pastry professionals is its consistency in flavor and size. Each strip is 2 ½ inches in length, and ¼ inch thick, so each of your finished products will be equally consistent. Use them for snacking, to decorate pastries, or dip in chocolate couverture for a fabulous treat.
