This Spanish ham by 5J is produced in Jabugo, from Pata Negra pigs (black hoofed) reared on a natural diet of acorns, and allowed to roam freely in the Dehesa (thick forest). This diet plus a genetic privileged with more intramuscular fat, the pigs develop a meat that is richly marbled and deliciously flavor. The texture is smooth and tender, the flavor soft and full of fat (the healthy monosaturated kind) that dissolves in the palate.
