Escargot Helix a la Bourguignonne

A timeless French delicacy, with none of the mess and fuss. The tender escargot meat is sautéed with butter, fresh parsley and garlic, and then stuffed back into the shells for a classic bistro appetizer presentation. Pop in the oven to warm, and serve with toasted baguette to soak up the flavors. As much as we love all snails equally, Helix are the undisputed kings of the snail world - large, plump, tender and delicious - and the only ones that can be called Burgundy escargot.

THESE WERE OUT OF THIS WORLD! THE TASTE WAS THE GREATEST, LIKE I USE TO HAVE WHEN EATING THEM IN A REASTAURANT! IF YOU LIKE OYSTERS & CLAMS, I WOULD RECOMMEND THESE ESCARGOT HELIX A LA BOURGUINGNONNE!

Taste was excellent. Some were pushed so far up into the shell you had to crack to remove. Overall I would order again.

Cooked exactly according to the instructions on the package and they turned out chewy...very chewy. And the escargot were shoved so far up into the shells that my clients had a difficult time pulling them out of the shells, even using the correct utensil. Sorry. but everything else was amazing!
