Grown exclusively in Liguria, Italy, Taggiasca olives are characterized by a buttery texture and flavor. Dark in color, it is light in taste and fruity in aroma, and is famous for producing some of the best olive oil in the world. These smallish olives can be eaten as a snack or as part of a salad or sandwich. Cooking will give them a bitter taste and is not recommended. Preserved in extra virgin olive oil.
