Beemster is a small cooperative that has been producing cheese at their own pace for over a century. They pride themselves in maintaining certain artisan cheese-making techniques that have fallen out of use, and have become the supplier of the Royal Court of the Netherlands. All this makes Beemster Gouda one of the best cheeses there are in the market. Matured for at least 18 months, it is rich, dense, with a crumbly but buttery texture.
