Fun and round, Tapioca Pearls are used to make the traditional Chinese Bubble Tea, puddings, and other desserts. Made out of tapioca or cassava plant, tapioca pearls are made by pressing moist tapioca starch under a sieve. These pearls are largely flavorless, so remember to add sugar and your favorite ingredient to flavor your drink or pudding. Before use, tapioca pearls must be carefully cooked. Overcook them and you'll end up with a super soft mushy result, undercook and the pearls will be tough. These large pearls are recommended especially for the Chinese Bubble Drink.
